Terms and Conditions
 

MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD

The minimum rental period for all holiday homes is 3 nights, except during Christmas and New Year Periods where a minimum of 5 nights is required.


AGE OF GUESTS

Guest(s) making a booking must be over 25 years of age. Additionally, all guests who are unaccompanied by a parent or guardian must also be over 25 years of age. We reserve the right at any stage to request photo identification from guests.     


DEPOSIT

A 30% deposit is payable at the time of making a booking. This is a non-refundable deposit. We accept payment via Mastercard or Visa. A NZD$25.00 booking fee is also charged at the time of booking. Please note that this same credit card as used for the deposit payment will be used for the final payment, this is automatically debited on the date due, we do not refund.  All prices are in NZD Dollars.


BALANCE OF PAYMENT 

The remaining balance will be automatically debited from the same credit card 14 days prior to your arrival in Queenstown.  We will email a receipt together with further information on the holiday home you have selected.


LINEN HIRE

Linen hire is $16.50 per person, per stay for the entire stay and includes sheets, towels, hand towels pillowslips and tea towels.  Linen hire is compulsory and not optional to enable us to maintain our high standard of service.

 

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT

Check in time: the property will be available from 3:00pm on the day of your arrival

Check out time: is 10:00am on the morning of departure.  Failure to checkout by 10:00am will result in an extra night’s accommodation being charged.  Please return the key to the lock-box on check-out.


DAMAGES /NEGLIGENCE

We accept that breakages and accidents do happen, the person who made the booking is responsible to report any breakage to Harcourts Property Management and Rentals.  Damage to the property and / or its furnishings caused by negligence will result in the cost being on-charged to the guest who made the booking.

Harcourts Property Management and Rentals reserve the right to further charge the credit card to recover reasonable costs to damage of the property and / or its furnishings due to your stay.

 

NO SMOKING POLICY -

There is a no smoking policy in all our holiday homes and if smoking outside all cigarette butts are to be removed from the property on departure. Breach of this policy will result in a $500.00 cleaning fee being applied to the guest who made the booking.

 

PETS

No pets are allowed in any of our holiday homes.   If pets or evidence of pets are found at the holiday home during or after guest stays a cleaning charge as required will be on charged to the guest that made the booking.



CANCELLATION POLICY
 

Deposits are non-refundable at time of booking.  Cancellation less than 14 days before the booking will incur a 100% charge, for this reason we highly recommend travel insurance.  Please also note that when payment is made in full prior to the 14 days before arrival no refund will be given if the booking is cancelled.

 

COVID- 19 – Extenuating Circumstances Cancellation Policy

Due to the uncertainty in the travel market we are offering guests that make a 
booking after the 19th August 2020 the following updated COVID 19 cancellation policy.

A 30 % non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of making a booking. 
The final payment is debited automatically from the same credit card
and is due 14 days prior to your check-in date.

For both Domestic and International Guests - should valid COVID 19 travel restrictions
be in place at the time of your reservation check-in date we would offer the option of a credit.
The credit would be held against your original booking to be applied to a date change
and used within 12 months of your original check in date.
No refunds will be provided on the orginal booking or the new booking.

We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect your holiday
rom any unforeseen events or circumstances which may affect your travel plans.
Refunds are not applicable in the event of natural disasters or environmental issues out of our control.

 (This only applies to bookings made directly through The Harcourts Holiday Home - Queenstown Website. Reservations made through other booking platforms will need to adhere to the applicable cancellation policy)


HARCOURTS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Reserves the right to cancel the reservation at any time and is not responsible for non-availability or early termination of a holiday home contract by reason of any matter or any type of nature without limitation which is beyond its control. We will do our best to book you into alternative comparable accommodation and advise you accordingly.


SERVICE FEE

Our holiday homes must be left in a clean and tidy condition upon departure.  Should the home require excessive cleaning over and above what is deemed reasonable, a charge of $40.00 plus gst per hour will be on-charged to the guest who made the booking.  This includes but not limited to doing dishes, pots and pans, removal of rubbish, cleaning the oven after use and the BBQ.  We also ask that guests do not move furniture around in the homes.  If furniture is moved and not put back in the correct placement guests will be charged $45.00 plus gst per hour for the correct placement of the furniture items on check-out.


BEDDING CONFIGURATIONS

Bedding configurations are not guaranteed. Any request to change the configuration – for example, from two singles to a zip king - upon arrival will result in a callout fee of at least $65.00.  Please advise the preferred bedding configuration at the time of booking.

 

PROPERTY OCCUPANCY RESTRICTIONS

As residential homes you are asked to respect quiet hours between 9pm and 7am. The number of occupants is as per the reservation and may not be increased without approval from Harcourts Property Management. Increased occupancy, excessive noise or illegal activity may result in penalty charges and eviction and forfeiture of all prepaid rental monies.  Should more than the booked number of individuals stay in the premises Harcourts Property Management reserves the right to charge a $500 penalty in addition to correcting the daily rate to incorporate the additional guests.


HOLIDAY HOME STANDARDS AND GENERAL TERMS

Our holiday homes do not have internationally recognized categories and standards attached to them. All our properties are privately owned homes and apartments. Each property is the personal taste of the owner.

We ask that guests staying in apartments please do not hang clothes, beach towels over the balconies and that drying racks are also not put outside or on the decks and balconies, this is a general rule in many of the apartment complexes.

As our holiday homes are all non -serviced we provide complimentary consumables sufficient for the first 2 days of your stay such as toiletries, toilet paper and soap. The other condiments, spices etc in the pantry cupboard are for your use but are not intentionally provided. Feel free to use what you need but it would be appreciated if you could replace or leave something similar when you leave.


LOST PROPERTY

We are happy to organise return postage on items left at the holiday homes. Please be aware that we do charge a service fee of NZD$25 plus gst and plus the return postage and packaging amount. This will be debited to the credit card as held on file.
 

LOST KEYS

The lock box contains a key for the front door and can be used throughout your stay for secure key storage and access to the holiday home. If the key is lost during your stay or if a callout to unlock the property is required we will have to on-charge a replacement key fee $25.00 and also a callout surcharge of $150.00.
 

HEALTH & SAFETY

As a guest of Harcourts Property Management & Rentals, it is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with any potential hazards and hazardous areas/situations.  These can include but are not limited to weather conditions, stairs, balconies, wood burners, wood fires, icy and slippery paths, steps and driveways, spa pools and unfenced outdoor areas, outdoor areas that do not have lighting.

 
LIABILITY

Harcourts Property Management & Rentals do not accept liability for acts or omissions of third parties that may prevent or disrupt a guest’s booking.  Holiday Home information and descriptions are supplied in good faith. Certain features or facilities may not be available from time to time due to circumstances beyond our control for which Harcourts Property Management & Rentals accept no responsibility.  No liability can be accepted by Harcourts Property Management & Rentals for any injury, loss or damage to guest or guest’s property or any visitor to the holiday home, arising out of or in connection to use of the holiday home.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT TERMS

A deposit equivalent to one nights accommodation or a % there of is payable at the time of making a booking. This is a non-refundable deposit .
