Goldleaf Hill - Spa Pool & Views

A breathtaking view in a warm, comfortable property that could do with an interior refresh. Positive: The view from both levels is astounding and breath taking. The spa is very nice and the view from the spa would be hard to beat. The piano is a nice feature. The heat pump did a great job of keeping us warm. Negative: Some of the furniture, decor and fittings were tired and not up to high end accommodation standards. For example, the placemats on the table were scuffed and mouldy!! The crockery was dated, chipped and mismatched. There were no ordinary glasses to drink from, only wine glasses and 3 glass beer steins. The fake plant in the corner looked dusty. The coffee table couldn't be reached from any of the lounges and was too heavy to move closer. The main bedroom had no heating, but we could leave the door open and get warm air from the central heating to the loungeroom. The upstairs bathroom had no vanity bench space to put toiletries on - we used a chair. The click clack futon in the main bedroom looked old and uninspired. It's time for an interior refresh given it's over $5000 a week to rent this place. At the very least, spring for some new placemats, 6 nice coffee cups and some drinking glasses!

Amazing lake views with a great hot tub experience- perfect for an extended family group. Positive: The views were amazing. Open plan upstairs area was comfortable and suited our family. The hot tub is wonderfully situated. Beds were comfortable. Negative: Some furnishings are rather well worn which detracts from the quality of the experience. Some appliances are in need of upgrading. We found the upstairs area chilly and the top bedroom definitely needs a heater to warm it.

Well appointed house with exceptional views! Positive: The location was exceptional! The pictures do not do justice - it is way beautiful and spacious in person. The house has a nice layout making our stay very comfortable (3 couples). Negative: Nothing! Well, we had to leave, that’s the sad part.
