Beautiful cottage like residence Positive: Amazing view, has a spa thats hot 24/7, service is great, very close to everything Negative: The driveway is very hard to drive up and car can slide out when there's ice, hard to drive out onto the main road coz it's rather busy

Vies are stunning, House is OK. Needs some TLC. Positive: The house was easy to keep warm, the views are beautiful. the pool table was good to keep the kids busy. Close to all amenities. Watching the planes fly in is very good too. Negative: The driveway is very steep and was frosted up all day due to sun not hitting the top of the driveway, my 4x4 got up the driveway ok in 4L however our other car which is AWD slipped a lot, would not try in a 2 wheel drive if it has frost. Harcourts were quick to respond and had a contractor grit the driveway the same day however this did not help the car slipping. The single couches in the lounge are very uncomfortable. The upstairs floor creeks are really bad so if you are an early riser I suggest you sleep downstairs. The shed out the back which houses the dryer is a disgrace, as per previous reviews "it's like a dumping ground for rubbish."

Old and dated, but clean and tidy. Slept family of 5 comfortably, with room for improvements. Positive: House was old and dated but clean and tidy. Quite a steep driveway ('S' bend/hair pin type and quite narrow for a medium size car), and if unsteady on feet or elderly, the path to the front door would be a problem as pebbles with uneven rocks as steps leading to main door. The rocks are slippery, esp first thing in the morning. Great amount of towels, esp with having the hot tub. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of plates, cutlery, appliances (the slow cooker needs replacing but host aware, along with some updating of old/broken utensils), full size fridge, etc. Dining table great size, esp for family of five (chairs are still stained as per previous reviews). BBQ needs replacing as two burners rusted through (again mentioned this to host, along with not having gas in the bottle). Plenty of seats to sit and relax, although the main couch facing the TV needs repairing or replacing as the back rest has torn along stitching line (again mentioned this to host). Myself and two children personally found the beds not that comfortable (two beds upstairs, and the one downstairs closest to the stairs), and could use some extra pillows (ones provided very flat). Flooring upstairs very creeky and noisy when walking around. Heating was great throughout house. Liked having washing machine, and dryer (although only used twice), however dryer is kept outside and up the back path (very uneven steps, not well lit) in an old shed which appeared to be a 'dumping ground'. There is no light in this shed and the door hits up against the dryer. The hot tub is well maintained and wonderful to relax in after a day out skiing/boarding. Plenty of hooks to hang items, however house could do with some 'drying racks' so clothes can air better. Approx 10 min drive into Queenstown (on a good run), and there is a lovely path along the water to walk into town which would be lovely in the warmer months (we did not do this). Negative: There are two bathrooms, however they are quite small (approx only 1m in width), and the second toilet (that is separate) does not fit a tall person. Both bathrooms are on the main level (no bathrooms upstairs where two main bedrooms are). Very difficult getting into and out of the property, esp if you want to turn right to head into Queenstown (better off turning left and doing a U'Turn at the roundabout). No information about the bin collection days and these are kept at the bottom of the driveway. As mentioned above, kitchen utensils/appliances need replacing. Water leak that we discovered the morning we were leaving (downstairs bedroom closest to stairs) more than likely from the bathroom. Thankfully nothing ruined. The state of the shed out the back that stored the dryer. Even previous tenants had not been bothered to clean the lint filter, and those that did, just threw the lint either on top of the dryer or on the floor. The room itself was a 'dumping ground'.

Positive: We loved this property. Was so nice sitting in spa looking at the amazing view. We are a big family & it had everything to make our stay in Queenstown amazing.
